Scranton, Pennsylvania has a vibrant and exciting history! Each week, I explore a small slice of that history in my popular local history column in the Sunday edition of the Scranton Times-Tribune. During the five years that I have been writing the column, one thing has become clear: the people of the Lackawanna Valley love their history!

I created this blog to offer a broader exploration of that history for myself, my loyal readers, and anybody who is interested in the fascinating details of Scranton’s history. As it grows, this blog will contain interesting facts, stories, and my own insights into the past life of the Electric City.
